Beaches Kauai offers some of the most pristine beaches in the world. Lydgate Beach Park is just minutes from the condo. It is the only beach in Kauai that offers a lifeguard on duty as well as a protected area for swimming and snorkeling, making it an ideal spot for families.

Golf With four of Golf Digest's top 10 rated courses in Hawaii, and 2 of Golf Digest's top rated golf resorts in the U.S., Kauai offers challenging courses on well-groomed greens with incredibly picturesque views. Wailua Golf Course is just minutes from the condo, and is rated as one of the top municipal courses in the United States.

Whale Watching Mid-November through May on the island is the perfect time to spot humpback whales as they make their way down from Alaska to their winter calving grounds in Hawaii. To witness these 40 ton giants close-up is truly inspiring.

Kayaking With a few simple instructions, even beginners can be out exploring Kauai's rivers, streams and secluded waterfalls. Take a trip down the Wailau River, Hawaii's only navigable river and located just down the road from the condo.

Bird Watching Enjoy bird-watching in one of the island's state parks. With over 80 species of birds, including many unusual and endangered species, Kauai is a bird-watchers paradise.

Hiking As only about 10% of Kauai is accessible by road, hiking provides the opportunity to see much more of the island than one could by car. Hike to the bottom of Waimea Canyon, the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific", or discover a hidden waterfall. Whether you are a beginning or experienced hiker, you will find trails to suit your needs.
